How long does it take to process my
application and setup my account? We process your application as soon
as possible and it should take between 1-12 hours to setup your account.
Who do I contact in case of a billing problem? In the event
of a billing problem or to cancel your account, please contact billing@stronghub.com
What control panel is offered with your hosting packages? All sites
come equipped with CPanel 11.
How do I access my CPanel website control panel? Navigate to
http://yourdomain.com/cpanel and replace “yourdomain.com” with your own domain name.
Can I use a .cc domain name with StrongHub? Yes, we
support all the standard domain name suffixes, including .cc!
I’ve been
notified that my account has been setup but my website still not active.
If you’ve received a notification e-mail and it’s been over 48 hours, it means either that
you did not point your domain name to the right DNS server, or that your ISP’s DNS
server has not yet been updated. It generally takes 24 hours for domain names to
become active. This is just how the Internet works; there is no way we can speed up
the process.
I have NOT been notified that my account has been set
up and it’s been over 24 hours. This could be caused by a provisioning
error. If you have not received any e-mails from us with a few hours of ordering
please contact us immediately.
How long does it take for name server
changes to propagate? Normally it takes between 24 to 48 hours for NS
changes to propagate.
What DNS should my domain name point to?
Your welcome e-mail will detail which of our DNS servers you should point your
URL to. However, all virtual hosting accounts point to:

NS2.STRONGHUB.COM
Where is your server located? Our servers
located at multiple tier 1 bandwidth providers in premium, U.S based datacenters.
Does e-mail or FTP count against my bandwidth limit? Yes. All FTP
and incoming/outgoing e-mail traffic counts against your total bandwidth.
What happens if I exceed my allocated bandwidth? You will get a warning
when you reached 80% of allocated limit. This should give you plenty of time to contact
us and purchase more bandwidth. Once you have exceeded your limit, your account is
suspended for the rest of the current month.
Do you support mySQL?
Yes. We run mySQL server version 5.0
How can I edit a mySQL
database table without creating an application? Cpanel allows you to use
phpMyAdmin to edit mySQL tables through the use of SQL query language.
Do you support CGI/PERL scripts? Yes, every site comes with its own
CGI-BIN to allow you to run your own PERL scripts.
What path name should
I use for CGI/PERL scripts? You may use either #!/usr/bin/perl or
#!/usr/local/bin/perl.
How do I access webmail for my server?
All sites are equipped with web based e-mail. You can access your webmail by going to
http://yoursite.com/webmail and replace “yourdomain.com” with your own domain name.
How do I enable SSI in my HTML pages? To take advantage
of Server Side Includes(SSI) in your web page, make sure the web page has the extension
.SHTML and not .HTML
Will you place any ads on my site? No,
we don’t put any advertisement on your site whatsoever. No banners, no annoying
pop-ups, nothing.
Will I be able to send and receive e-mail through
StrongHub? We provide POP3 e-mail accounts for our users. You can receive
e-mails and read them in Outlook. You can send mail through an SMTP server by supplying
username and password and you may also use the one provided by your ISP. For your
information, most ISPs block the use of 3rd party SMTP servers to prevent “SPAM”. You
can contact us if you need assistance to find correct SMTP server you can use.
Does my account come with SSH access? We no longer offer any form
of SSH to our clients. If you need to execute any commands on SSH just submit a support
ticket and we’ll do it for you.
Can I upgrade my plan or features after I
signed up? Yes, you can, you can do so by contacting us.
Can I upload
or modify my website using Frontpage? Yes, every account comes with
Frontpage extensions, the username/password for these are the same as your FTP
information.
Do you offer an SLA?Yes, we do offer an SLA (Service
Level Agreement), the SLA includes our 30 Days money back guarantee, and our 99.95%
Uptime Guarantee.
How do I access FTP? You have to download
an FTP client, you can access your FTP by entering ftp.yourdomain.com in the host field,
and the username and password, the port will always be 21 unless otherwise stated.
Is my website backed up, and how often? Yes, your website is
backed up once a day, however we strongly recommend you to make your own backup
on your local PCs for further safeguarding.
Do I need to sign any contract?
We do not bind you into a legal agreement when you signup with us, you can
cancel your account without any obligations.
What is reseller hosting?
Reseller hosting is hosting which you can resell, you can buy a reseller package,
and sell parts of it to others.
Will you ever suspend my account without
giving notice? No, we will never suspend your account without giving a notice
before.
What are the server specs? We use only Genuine Intel Dual processors
with a minimum speed of 2.0 GHz in each core. Servers have no less than 2048MB of RAM.
What kind of support options do you provide? We respond all support
requests via email or our helpdesk ticket system.
Do you provide phone
support? No, we're an online company and all support is done via online system.
The decisions we’ve made by doing so are then passed on to customers to have an
affordable price without neglecting speed, reliability and performance.
How
fast are our emails replied to? Depending on the complexity of your support
ticket/request and our current load, this can take anywhere from as little as 5 minutes
up to 24 hours for 95% of the issues which we receive.
Your plans does not
suit me, will you be able to create a custom plan for me? Please contact
us to get a quote for a custom plan you requested. The price depends on the components
and resources that you use.
Is there a setup fee? No, we do not
charge setup fee or installation fee.
Do you offer SSL? Yes, all of
our accounts are SSL ready.
What do you charge for SSL certificate?
We will provide/install an SSL certificate on your account for an annual fee of
USD $125.
Do you offer Adult Hosting? Please see
our Terms of Service agreement for acceptable content.
Am I allowed to run proxy server/IRC bot? No, you're not allowed.
Do you provide
support to clients of reseller accounts? No, resellers must provide first level
support to their clients. We support resellers the same way we support any other
customer, but we do not offer end-user support to their clients.
Can I pay
for plans annually? Yes, all accounts are enabled on the order form for monthly, quarterly, semi annually
and annually payment schedules. You will receive 1-1/2 months of service for free by
paying annually.
Do you accept credit cards? Yes, we accept Visa
and MasterCard only.
Can I buy a hosting account and upgrade it to
reseller account when I want to? Yes you can. There is no extra fee to upgrade
from shared hosting to a reseller account.
Do you offer domain
registrations? Yes, we register NET / COM / ORG / INFO domains for $9.95
per year. For all other extensions, please contact us for pricing. If you require a domain
registration please contact us before applying for a hosting account.
Do you
offer domain transfers? Yes, we offer transfers at the same costs as
registrations (see above question). This will transfer the domain to our accounts and will
add 1 year to the expiration date.
I have no idea how to “point” my domain
to my hosting account. Can you do it for me? Yes, we can help you to “point”
your domain to our servers. Once you have completed the order form, simply contact us
with the name of your registrar, the account name and password and we will take care of
the rest.
